We hear people comment that well-constructed “old-world” stonework is lost, and that it’s difficult finding examples of great stonework being installed on new projects these days. We wholeheartedly agree!
So, what is “old-world” stonework anyway? Well, we feel it’s stonework that appears as if it’s been in place for decades, harmonizes wonderfully with its surroundings and is built to last generations. That’s our mindset behind the process we follow here at Cross River Design.
Whether it’s a rustic grand fireplace accented with a river rock hearth, a stunning flagstone patio, or a charming stone walkway, Cross River Design will make sure your stone project is the highlight of your property and landscape.
Our team specializes in stone retaining walls, patios, fireplaces, walkways–pretty much any custom stonework project one can think of.
The Cross River Design team is licensed, bonded, and fully insured with liability and worker’s compensation, and holds C-29 (Masonry), D-06 (Concrete Services), C-8 (Concrete) and D-12 (Synthetic Products) contractor licenses. The team is also ICPI certified (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) and NCMA certified (National Concrete Masonry Association).
Because our stone and masonry crews are true craftsman who have over the course of time acquired their knowledge with hands-on lessons, we can proudly say they are the best at what they do. Cross River Design warranties all of its work from the ground up.

We had the opportunity to visit a number of completed projects at properties throughout the area to see examples of Cross River Design’s work. Each was beautiful, different and in harmony with the architecture of the homes and (I believe) a cut above any other landscape design work I have seen.
